Eickhorn-Solingen M8A1 Scabbard

  Name: Eickhorn-Solingen M8A1 Scabbard
  Value: $
  Total Length: ~12 3/4"
  Production Period:  '70s - present
Info:    The scabbard has a self-draining-device to avoid
an accumulation of water in the scabbard.
The mouthpiece of the scabbard consists of
only one piece and isn’t welded which avoids
malfunctioning in long-term. The Eickhorn USM
8 A1 scabbard has a polyester textile belt
and polyester tie-thongs instead of a cotton
ensuring a much better resistancy against
fungus in tropical climates. There a no more
metal pieces on the ends of the closing-strip
of the polyester textile-belt because th ends
are heat-cut. This reduces the noise and
avoids the problem of loosing the ends and
thus ensuring a much longer lifetime of the belt.
-Info from Eickhorn

This is a German made reproduction of the M8A1.

The rib bet that connects the upper and lower
portions of the Scabbard is the only place the
name of the manufacture is present.

The back side of the snap has "CK" & "ST"
stamped on the back of it.
