-I haven't updated in a long time due to lack of funds to spend on this hobby of mine. I did win an item on eBay a while back that I finally posted. Its a pack of Left M4 Bayonet grips straight from the military in its original packaging. You can view it here. Tuesday, September 06, 2005 -I fixed one of the Turner Mfg. Image links today. I also implanted a newer Images.cgi script that I wrote. It now will inform me of broken images much quicker and in a much easier format to read! Saturday, March 05, 2005 -Changed the look of the web site. I made the old interface and it didn't look very good, nor did it fit the site! A friend of mine made up this new version for the site! Thanks Greg! Wednesday, January 26, 2005 -Added some M10 info that I got from a Mr. Butler by email. He helped identify the markings. Also added more info from Mr. Butler to the TWB Scabbard page. I also posted pictures of the box they came in back in the 60's. I picked this up a few months ago and finally posted it. Saturday, September 25, 2004 -Added a new M4 today . The Eickhorn-Solingen Plastic Handle Bayonet reproduction was added today along with the Eickhorn-Solingen M8A1 Scabbard. Friday, September 10, 2004 -Added a new M4 today . The Kinfolks plastic grip M4 Bayonet was added. This piece is in great condition! Thursday, July 1, 2004 -Added a new M4 Imperial bayonet with the rare Hemphill Company stamping on the latch plate. Been reading allot of old books on the M4. I may post something soon on it! Sunday, June 13, 2004 -Added roughly four new bayonets. Added more details on every piece in my collection. Added more latch plates to the latch plate identification page. Also added pictures of the grips for all the plastic handled bayonets listed here. I probably did more but forgot! Saturday, June 12, 2004 -Added some Eickhorn-Solingen information in the documents section. Also linked to a bunch of on-line documents at www.usmilitaryknives.com. Soon as I get my scanner hooked back up I will have another military document. Monday, June 09, 2004 -Changed some images, fixed a typo in one of the M4 names. Added a new M4 to the list. No pictures of it yet. Within a week I should have two new M4 Bayonet picture sets up. Monday, June 06, 2004 -This site now has its own domain name! I fixed all cgi issues on the site too. Fixed some small minor problems that I found. Also hosting the image for the bayonet web ring. I'll be making an update this month! Saturday, December 27, 2003 -Fixed the site. It had some major CGI and permission errors from the move. All should be fixed now! Wednesday, September 18, 2002 -I received some information from Tom Williams at Camillus. Its been posted in the online docs section. The items are: Camillus M4 Spec Sheet., Camillus Spec Cards, M4 Bayonet & M8 Scabbard Drawing with 1944 Contract Info from Camillus, Old Camillus M4 Blueprint, Camillus Reproduction M4 sheet, Camillus Knives that went to war. Sunday, September 08, 2002 -Well, time for another update. Added another plastic gripped Imperial that has a rare stamping on it. Added what is believed a Camillus repro. I am working on getting more info on this one. Thanks to Lou Cioffioni for the pictures. I added more images to the latch plate page. This is an area I want to push. I also added a Scabbard page. Put up a forum. Got questions, ask. If I don't know it, maybee someone else will. Also added a mailing list, so you can be informed when this site is updated. I now have a new job and look forward to collecting more M4's soon. I'm also sending out for some more documentation this week. Friday, July 19, 2002 -Added the Latch Plate guide. Look for it in the menu. The Latch Plate guide shows the different latch plate markings that I know of. Just another piece to try and make this the most comprehensive M4 info site around. Thursday, July 18, 2002 -Added an online doc "OPERATOR, ORGANIZATIONAL AND FIELD MAINTENANCE REPAIR PARTS AND SPECIAL TOOL LISTS FOR BAYONET-KNIVES M4. M5. M5AI. AND M6 AND BAYONET-KNIFE SCABBARD M8A I" I have the one issued before, or after this one too, but not sure if I'll post. Most of the info is the same. Wednesday, June 26, 2002 -Added an online doc on how the M4 came into existence. Also added some production numbers for the M4 bayonet production and the M8 & M8A1 Scabbard. There probably wont be any more updates for the summer since my job takes me out of town, thus it means no more buying M4's for myself till fall or winter. Sunday, March 10, 2002 -Added ACC Plastic Handle pictures. Sunday, March 03, 2002 -Changed the look & layout. Thursday, February 28, 2002 -Added a Camillus Leather Handle Bayonet. Thursday, February 21, 2002 -Added a Kiffe Bayonet, small tweaking still. Friday, February 08, 2002 - Added a AKI bayonet. Friday, January 11, 2002 - Added a Turner Mfg. Bayonet, and did some more tinkering. Sunday, December 30, 2001 - The site starts. |
