| Info: |
The blade has the 90-degree
back cut to it.
It has the post 1953 production style guard which is
secured by a bent metal bar passing through the
tang.
Two long slots in the tang (presumably to reduce
weight). The Department of Defense Acceptance
Stamp (commonly called the DAS) is found on the
handle side of the guard.
The two plastic grips have a backward "5" on one
and
what appears to be a backward "6" on the other.
They
are held together by two 4/5 threaded screws.
The latch plate has the dimple
stamp on it. The latch
plate uses solid pins to hold the latch plates in
place.
The one I acquired came with an M10 scabbard that
was made of plastic and had a black nylon type
netting.
The scabbard had the following Numbers on it:
"19204 ASSY 8448476 / MFG 74846". If any one
knows what this stands for, Please E-mail me! |
